Kerrville, TX | Temp/Contract to Direct
Build, install, and modify new aircraft interiors. Perform final assembly of interior systems and mechanical assemblies.
o Utilizes approved technical data to determine proper installation scheme, including quantity and materials needed to complete interior parts.
o Performs composite / fiberglass adjustments on a variety of interior components.
o Basic sheet metal and composite trimming / fabrication of parts.
o Cleaning of interior parts.
o Installation & adjustment of aircraft seats, panels, glare shield, seat belts, and visors.
o Remove and adjust decorative materials on interior parts including but not limited to fabrics, leather, foam, carpet and matting.
o Prep for paint, priming and painting of aircraft interiors and assemblies.
o General repair items including filling and fairing, bonding and sealing, replacement of seals, nutplates, rivnuts, inserts and ferrules.
o Be proficient in the use of air powered hand tools and related equipment.
o Ability to interpret and comprehend aircraft build manuals, engineering repair orders and related drawings.
o Completes all required documentation for work performed legibly and accurately.
o Complies with company process plans, computer diagrams and company policies (SOP) when performing job duties.
o Basic sheet metal and composite repairs.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
o High School/ GED
o Corporate Aircraft Interior experience preferred
o Technician Role requiring Intermediate Skills to perform most of the standard tasks within the technical area assigned to.
o Prefer 2 or more years of experience in aircraft interiors.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
o Ability to interpret and comprehend computer based aircraft manuals, repair orders, and related blueprint drawings.
o Composite experience desired.
o Ability to work different shifts and flexible hours if required.
o Be proficient in the usage of air powered hand tools and related equipment.
